I am an emerging visual artist currently based in Vancouver, Montréal and New York, and primarily working in abstract painting, collage, printmaking and photography. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of British Columbia, I also study part-time at the Art Students League of New York, where I have studied with abstract painters Pat Lipsky, Ronnie Landfield and James Little. There I have deepened my engagement with postwar abstract art and 20th century discourse. My work interprets and examines postwar abstraction through a contemporary lens. Through abstraction, I seek to develop a visual language that reflects the complexities, absurdities and pace of contemporary life.
